Even when faced with adversity, Wilson lives his life on the edge and is not afraid to take bold risks. His zest for life has shaped him into the thought leader, entrepreneur, and committed leader that he is known to be today.
“You want to be the soul in control, that’s what it’s about,” he tells Mindful Media. “You must overcome your mental and emotional systems so you can live loud and satisfied with the decisions your heart and soul want you to make,” he adds. Wilson believes that life is momentary, and anything can change in a matter of seconds. Because of this, he stresses the importance of following your dreams while you have the chance to.
Prior to becoming a mentor, Wilson was involved in a near fatal car accident that caused him to skid across 150 feet of pavement, and almost lost his leg in the process. He was struck by a drunk driver while on his motorbike, and the experience of almost dying changed the trajectory of his life forever. Wilson began studying intuition and the faculties of decision making beyond logic, so that he could override everything his mind was telling him to do and follow his heart instead. The skills he obtained have allowed him to assist so many other people, and help them live life beyond the limitations they’ve set upon themselves.
“Life is temporary,” he says. “It’s a part time gig in relation to what we really are, and when you get out of the role of thinking, and into the reality of our mortal existence, you realize there’s nothing to dream about in heaven. You don’t get another dream, you don’t get another vision, or another mountain to climb,” he says. “This is why I shifted the trajectory of my life to focus on my soul’s calling,” he adds. If you don’t listen to that inner voice or follow your heart, your life will not be satisfying. That’s why Wilson believes it’s important to get out of your comfort zone and take risks.
“I take risks as an entrepreneur that aren’t always successful,” he says. “I lose money in crypto, I lose money in businesses, people let me down. I’m not free of pain and problems even in my life today,” he says. Wilson shares that aside from his setbacks in business, a near death experience, and the trauma he faced growing up, what really impacted him was the fact that he was living for so long with a paranoia that he could die any day.
“I was more of a prick about my time and I was much more methodical. I was much more militant with my actions,” he adds. “But ultimately, once I had kids it opened my heart and I realized how important it was to follow my soul’s calling and let go of the goals that were no longer serving me.”
Wilson’s company, Souldiers Academy, has helped multiple entrepreneurs release their blocks, find their internal power, and learn tools to live a more satisfying and fulfilling life.
